As Head Nurse, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our nursing team while remaining hands‑on clinically.
Key responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating the nursing team
- Managing daily workflow, staffing and delegation
- Maintaining high standards of nursing, surgical and anaesthetic care
- Supporting complex and orthopaedic cases
- Mentoring and developing junior nurses and trainees
- Driving clinical standards, protocols and continuous improvement
- Providing support and leadership during busy and challenging days
- Working closely with our vets, management and clinic owners
About you
- An experienced veterinary nurse with robust surgical and anaesthetic skills
- Confident making decisions and leading a team
- Organised, calm and proactive
- Approachable and supportive
- Comfortable delegating and holding people accountable
- Passionate about patient care and high clinical standards
- Committed to developing those around them
- Previous senior/lead nurse experience is highly regarded
