We are looking for a motivated Graduated Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering Team as a Field Service Engineer (FSE). This is an exciting opportunity to build hands-on experience with advanced laboratory diagnostic technologies while developing your technical and professional skills in a supportive environment.

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance, servicing and installation of cutting-edge laboratory diagnostic instruments, particularly in Laboratory Automation, Haematology and Clinical Chemistry systems.

You will work directly with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment operates at peak performance, minimising downtime and supporting service excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently on-site
- Support the rollout and integration of recent equipment into laboratories
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and inventory documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Provide training and guidance to laboratory staff to enhance self-sufficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

What We’re Looking For

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related discipline)




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply engineering principles in real-world settings
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- A proactive, organised, and customer-focused mindset
- A positive attitude with the ability to perform under pressure
- Willingness to learn and continuously develop technical expertise

Desirable (but not essential):

- Knowledge of LIS systems, middleware, Linux, CAN-BUS, or interfacing principles
- Experience with medical or laboratory equipment

Requirements

- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel for customer support and training
- Full working rights in Australia
- Compliance with workplace health, safety, and vaccination requirements
