About The Role & Where You’ll Be Working

Ready to kick‑start your physiotherapy career? Join the John Hunter Hospital Physiotherapy team and gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of acute clinical areas.

Our 24‑month graduate program includes 8 x 3‑month rotations, giving you the opportunity to build your skills, discover your clinical interests and grow your confidence with support from an experienced team of senior physiotherapists.

You’ll work across John Hunter Hospital, Rankin Park Centre and Belmont Hospital, with opportunities to experience paediatric, regional and rural physiotherapy.

The program includes a 3‑month secondment to Manning Base Hospital in Taree, with accommodation and travel time provided. A Maitland Hospital secondment may also be available.

Eligibility





You must complete your physiotherapy degree by the end of 2026 and be eligible for AHPRA registration in NSW before commencing on 29 January 2027.

Don’t forget to include your current academic transcripts (including GPA) and APP practicum assessment forms with supervisor comments with your application.

Interviews will be held in person (face to face) at JHH on Wednesday 23rd, Thursday 24th and Friday 25th September 2026. Virtual interviews may be possible; however, this is not preferred. Alternate interview dates will not be offered.
