HC Watercart Operator (FIFO) – Weipa, QLD
About the role

Cape York Maintenance Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a HC Watercart Operator to join our operations team in Weipa, Queensland. This is a casual FIFO position offering flexible roster options, day shifts only, and an immediate start for the right candidate.

You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining a semi watercart to support dust suppression and site maintenance across our mining operations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe and efficient site operations.

What you'll be doing

- Safely operate a HC semi watercart across the mining site

- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks

- Transport and distribute water for dust suppression and general site maintenance

- Monitor water levels, fuel levels and equipment performance throughout each shift

- Complete daily operational records and pre-start documentation

- Follow all site safety procedures and operational requirements





- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

- Respond to operational requests as required while maintaining a high standard of safety

What we're looking for

- Current HC Driver Licence

- Experience operating a semi watercart or similar heavy vehicles is preferred

- Solid commitment to workplace health and safety

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Current G1 and Rio Tinto Induction, or willingness to obtain

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening

- Reliable, punctual and safety focused

- Experience completing pre-start inspections and basic equipment maintenance is advantageous
