We are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers - K-6 (Kindergarten to Year 6) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2027 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School

Denmark Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School with a highly professional team of teachers and education assistants who provide evidence based, engaging teaching and learning programs across all learning areas. We are seeking teachers who have the interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships with students, staff and community members and share our commitment to the key pillars of our new business plan which are; growth, include, collaborate and being future focussed.

Suitable applicants should put student learning and wellbeing at the centre of their work. Teachers who thrive as part of a team that implements consistent whole school approaches will be highly regarded especially if they have successfully collaborated as part of a professional learning community which evaluates the impact of their teaching. Applicants will ideally possess the skills to use the assess, plan, teach cycle effectively to use data to drive their practice and differentiate the curriculum to meet the needs of a wide range of abilities.

We are particularly seeking individuals that reflect on their practice and continually strive to improve. Teachers who have qualifications and or a particular strength for teaching mathematics and or digital technologies will be highly regarded.

Our teaching is based on explicit teaching using whole school evidence-based programs. In particular, we are a proud Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school. Having skills and experience or a willingness to learn about PBS, UFLI, Talk 4 Writing, Talk 4 Reading and Learning Through Doing math program will be advantageous.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
