This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing in Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. Application requirements include character limited responses to address only 2 Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) domains at application stage. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.
The School
East Kimberley College is one of the largest Kindergarten to Year 12 schools in the state with approximately 900 students enrolled. With almost 50% of enrolments being Indigenous, it also has the largest enrolment of Aboriginal students of any school in the State. The College offers all that one would expect in a larger metropolitan school yet has that unique friendly atmosphere typical of a rural community. The Role
East Kimberley College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their school.
The successful applicant should have well-developed professional and practical knowledge in Design and Technology, along with strong teaching and classroom management skills. They should also be able to build positive relationships with students and engage them in highly effective learning. This role will require you to engage in relevant professional learning and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, working as a member of a vibrant and enthusiastic school team.
