The Team

Mountain Heights School is a welcoming K-12 school located in the picturesque community of Queenstown on Tasmania's West Coast, serving approximately 210 students.

About The Role

The successful applicant will implement and manage appropriate learning programs for students and assess individual student progress. You will also assist the Principal in the general educational leadership, management and administration of a particular sector of the school.

We are offering

- Permanent role, commencing as soon as you are ready to join our team
- Full-time
- 70 hours per fortnight

Incentives and Benefits

- $5,000 settling-in payment for relocating to an isolated school (with a minimum 2-year commitment)
- Additional annual payments starting from $3,138, increasing over time up to $6,281 with continued service

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication,



this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

We are looking for

Essential

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
- A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
- Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award, 2005.

Desirable

- Four years or more training as defined in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award 2005.
