Bairnsdale Baptist Church is a growing, intergenerational church in East Gippsland, Victoria. We are a congregation of around 250 people, with approximately 200 people gathering each Sunday across two services to worship God, learn from His Word, and encourage one another.

With God’s strength and wisdom, we seek to be a church that faithfully pursues His mission by building mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Associate Pastor

As God continues to grow our church, we are seeking a full time Associate Pastor to join our team, beginning in early 2027.

Working alongside our Senior Pastor and the wider church family, the Associate Pastor will serve across a range of ministry areas, helping to equip God’s people and advance our mission of making mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Key Responsibilities

- Shared responsibility for the mission and shepherding of Bairnsdale Baptist Church.
- Preaching, teaching and leading regularly across both services and other ministries.




- Oversight/leadership of one or more ministry areas determined by gifting/experience.
- Equipping the body of Christ for service.

Qualifications

- Faithful spiritual life with ongoing growth in Christian maturity, Christ-like character, and Biblical leadership (Titus 1:7–9; 1 Timothy 3:2–7; 1 Peter 5:1–5).
- Strong relational leadership with a heart for disciple-making across all generations.
- Effective, expository communicator of God’s word.
- Committed to team ministry, mutual accountability, and equipping others for fruitful ministry.
- A degree from a recognised theological college.

Remuneration will be as per the recommended stipend of the Baptist Union of Victoria (BUV).
