Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead the strategic and day-to-day delivery of high-quality OSHC services across multiple sites.
- Ensure child safety, wellbeing, inclusion and regulatory compliance always.
- Provide educational leadership aligned with My Time, Our Place and quality improvement expectations.
- Recruit, develop and support capable, high-performing educators and leadership teams.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and psychologically safe workplace culture.
- Oversee staffing, enrolments, resources and budgets to ensure sustainable service delivery.
- Build strong partnerships with families, schools, community stakeholders and regulators.
- Contribute to organisational strategy, continuous improvement and service growth.

We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

The Service Director - Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of safe, inclusive, high-quality and compliant OSHC services across multiple sites. The role focuses on child safety, educational quality, workforce capability, financial sustainability, and strong partnerships with families, schools and regulators.

Working in close partnership with the Operations Manager - OSHC, the Service Director translates organisational strategy into effective operational delivery and fosters a positive, child-safe and high-performing service culture.





Service location / travel requirements

We are currently recruiting for a service in Wanniassa, with potential movement to other sites as operationally required. This role will undertake split shifts as agreed with the Operations Manager and may require travel across Canberra to support operational needs.

- You are confident managing complex operations across multiple sites and building strong partnerships with schools and communities.
- You are proactive, solutions-focused and committed to continuous improvement and quality outcomes for children and families.





Experience and Qualifications

- Tertiary qualifications in Education (ACECQA-approved where required).
- Extensive leadership experience within OSHC and/or early learning services.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, EYLF and My Time, Our Place.
- Proven experience in people leadership, workforce development and performance management.
- Demonstrated capability in operational, financial and compliance management.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading multi-site services.
- Experience contributing to organisational strategy or policy development.
- Experience using childcare management systems and data-informed decision-making.

To be eligible for employment, you must have an active Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card, working rights in Australia, and be willing to undertake background checks required for the position, including a National Police Check.
