The Opportunity

We are looking for an Interior Designer / Workplace Stylist to join us on an initial 3-month contract and help develop a consistent interior style across our offices.

This role is not focused on major construction or heavy renovation work. Instead, we are looking for someone with a solid eye for aesthetics who can improve our existing spaces through furniture selection, layout, lighting, styling, colour, materials and smaller interior details.

The goal is to create offices that feel warm, comfortable and well considered, while also developing a visual language that can be applied consistently across different Vuly locations.

You will work closely with the Creative Director and other internal teams to understand the brand, identify opportunities within each space and help transform our offices into environments that feel more cohesive, welcoming and enjoyable to work in.

Key Responsibilities





- Review existing office spaces and identify opportunities to improve their overall look, feel and functionality
- Develop a clear interior design direction that reflects the Vuly brand and can be applied across multiple offices
- Select furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork, plants, accessories and other styling elements
- Recommend colour palettes, materials and finishes that create consistency between different spaces
- Create mood boards, visual references and simple presentations to communicate design concepts
- Source furniture and styling items that suit the design direction and available budgets
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to coordinate selections and implementation
- Help style meeting rooms, common areas, workspaces, reception areas and other office environments
- Consider how Vuly products and brand elements can be integrated naturally into the office environment
- Create a simple interior style guide or framework that can be used when developing future Vuly offices
- Balance aesthetics, practicality, durability and budget when making recommendations

What We Are Looking For

Essential

- Professional experience in interior design, interior decoration, workplace design or a similar role
- Strong sense of aesthetics, colour, proportion, furniture and spatial styling
- Good understanding of workplace environments and how offices need to function day to day, while being able to create spaces that feel warm, creative and far from a traditional corporate office




- Ability to make existing spaces feel more considered without relying on major renovations
- Experience selecting and sourcing furniture, lighting, materials and decorative elements
- Ability to create clear mood boards and communicate design concepts visually
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Practical approach to design, with an understanding of budgets and real-world implementation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with different teams
- Comfortable receiving feedback and developing ideas collaboratively rather than being overly attached to one direction

Nice to Have

- Experience designing or styling offices and commercial workplaces
- Experience developing interior standards across multiple locations
- Experience working with consumer, lifestyle or creative brands
- Knowledge of furniture and interior suppliers

The Type of Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a natural eye for creating spaces that feel positive to be in.

The right person will understand that a positive office does not need to feel overly corporate or heavily designed. It should feel comfortable, warm, functional and have its own personality.

You should be able to look at an existing space and understand what needs to change, whether that is the furniture, lighting, colours, layout or simply the smaller details that bring everything together.

We are also looking for someone collaborative and open-minded, who can listen to different ideas, understand the Vuly brand and turn that into a practical interior direction that can grow with the company.

Contract Details

- Initial 3-month contract
- Brisbane-based role
- Primarily working with Vuly's Brisbane offices, while developing a design language that can also be applied to our other locations
- Potential for further work depending on future office projects and requirements
