Position Information

Emmaville Central School is a small K-12 school, located in a small rural and remote township/village with a population of approximately 400. It is located 42 kilometres north-west of Glen Innes in northern NSW- New England Tablelands region. The school caters for the diverse learning needs of 83 students, including 26% Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. Students come from a diverse range of socioeconomic backgrounds.

Emmaville Central School offers individualised learning in small composite class groups and in stage groups. There is a strong emphasis on quality learning and teaching.

Total Remuneration Package: Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Specific Selection Criteria

- Approval to teach Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver new curriculum that focusses on engaging and differentiating teaching and learning programs, for a diverse range of student learning needs in a single teacher faculty




- Ability to implement effective behaviour management and well being strategies to create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment

This advertisement qualifies for permanent part-time employment; therefore, applicants seeking either permanent full-time or permanent part-time work are encouraged to apply. Special Notes

Successful applicants may be entitled to a Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (conditions apply).



The recruitment bonus will be paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus available for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.

A Relocation Support Payment of $5,000 up to $8,000 will be available for eligible applicants.
