As a Supervisor – Care Beyond Kin working 25 hours a week, you will lead a dedicated team to assess and support carers to ensure exceptional service standards are met and exceeded. Situated in Woodville South , this metropolitan role will facilitate a robust and nurturing environment for carers to excel utilising evidence-informed assessment procedures. You will enact an encouraging spirit to guide your unified team to execute high-quality practice and improvement outcomes for children and young people.
Essential Qualifications:
- A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
In this role, you will:
- Administer ethical decision-making and social work intervention methods to guide professional practice
- Train and supervise a determined social work team to enhance outcomes for clientele
- Manage the placement and allocation process of children and young people into alternative care arrangements
- Apply strategic leadership and facilitate team member participation in decision-making processes
- Promote inclusive training by recognising Aboriginal cultural practices.
About you:
- You possess extensive experience in social work or case management surrounding issues of welfare, safety and protection
- You are a competent leader, who can oversee the nuanced needs of a team
- You demonstrate exemplary knowledge of training frameworks and practices
- You can effectively solve complex problems to fulfill deadlines
- You are a phenomenal verbal and written communicator when liaising with an array of stakeholders.
Salary:
AHP3: $112,139 - $120,284 + 12% super
+4% child protection allowance
+Professional Development Allowance
+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.
AHP3 positions are also entitled to claim reimbursement of eligible professional development expenses through the Professional Development Allowance.
