Senior People & Culture Business Partner – Role Overview
The Senior People & Culture Business Partner plays a key role in driving strategic and operational people outcomes across a complex, multi-site workforce. This role partners closely with senior leaders and operational teams to provide trusted HR advice across business partnering, employee and industrial relations, workforce planning, performance, engagement and organisational change. The position combines strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach to supporting leaders and delivering practical people solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnering & Operational HR

- Partner with senior leaders and operational managers to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Provide practical HR advice and coaching across performance, employee relations, workforce planning and organisational change.
- Support managers to build leadership capability and effectively manage people-related matters.
- Oversee key employee lifecycle processes and ensure HR practices are consistent and compliant.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes, systems and ways of working.

Employee & Industrial Relations

- Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances and performance management.
- Provide advice on Awards, EBAs, employment legislation and industrial relations matters.
- Support a unionised workforce and assist with enterprise bargaining and industrial negotiations.
- Coach leaders on effective employee management and minimise people and industrial risk.
- Support workforce transitions, restructures and organisational change.

People & Culture

- Champion a positive,



inclusive and high-performance workplace culture.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, action planning and feedback programs.
- Develop strategies to improve retention, employee experience and workforce capability.
- Support organisational change and culture initiatives across multiple sites.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends and drive practical improvements.

Workforce Planning, Capability & Development

- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning.
- Identify capability gaps and develop strategies to strengthen workforce capability.
- Support leadership development, training and career development initiatives.
- Develop and implement people frameworks and programs aligned to current and future workforce needs.
- Support apprenticeship, graduate, technical and leadership development pathways where required.

Key Skills & Attributes

- Extensive HR experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or complex multi-site operational environments .
- Strong hands‑on experience across ER, IR, Awards, EBAs and unionised workforces .
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted and commercially minded HR Business Partner .
- Experience supporting large frontline or 24/7 operational workforces is highly desirable.
- Robust coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in workforce planning, organisational change and capability development.
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands‑on and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust across all levels of an organisation.
