Brosnan Transport Australia is seeking an experienced MC Road Train Operator to join our team in based in Toowoomba. Applications are encouraged from persons in the darling downs, western downs & Maranoa As an MC Road Train Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating A doubles and AB Triples across Queensland and beyond with our work often taking us around the country. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for reliable, professional transport services and meeting the expectations of our valued clients.

Key responsibilities

Operate MC road trains (multi-combination vehicles) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and road regulations

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all safety equipment and mechanical systems are in working order.

Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation, including hours of work records and delivery confirmations

Communicate regularly with management regarding maintenance items, delays, and any incidents or mechanical issues

Perform basic vehicle maintenance and cleaning to keep the equipment in excellent condition

Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, fatigue management rules, and company policies

Represent Brosnan Transport Australia professionally at all times, maintaining positive relationships with clients and other road users

What were looking for

Valid MC (Multi-Combination) driving licence with current Drivers medical

Minimum 3-5 years' experience operating road trains or A doubles. Livestock experience highly regarded

Clean driving record with no major traffic infringements or safety violations. We value sa free driving

Excellent knowledge of Australian road rules, Higher mass limits and Fatigue legislation

Strong mechanical understanding and ability to identify and report vehicle issues promptly





Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of your responsibilities

Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Physical fitness and ability to handle the demands of long distance driving

Importantly someone who knows regional roads and the care needed when driving them. We pride ourselves on outstanding equipment & want it looked after

Someone accustomed to life on the road. We spend lots of time away. The trucks regularly spend time in WA , Victoria, and North Queensland.
