Build the pipeline. Win profitable work. Be rewarded for results.
Redleaf Group is seeking an accomplished, high-energy Senior Sales Executive to drive profitable growth across our Environment and Cultural Heritage business units.
This is a hands‑on outbound sales role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, opening doors, securing meetings and progressing opportunities with pace and discipline. You will not be waiting for leads to arrive.
Success will come from sustained prospecting, frequent cold and warm calls, face‑to‑face client engagement, persistent follow‑up and the commercial judgement to convert the right opportunities into profitable work.
If you have a proven record in service‑industry sales, thrive on clear targets and want to be rewarded for creating growth, this is a challenge worth taking on.
Environment and Cultural Heritage Consulting
The opportunity
Based at our Toowoomba Head Office, you will take direct ownership of outbound sales activity, pipeline development and revenue conversion across Queensland and selected emerging markets.
You will work closely with our General Manager and Environment and Heritage Managers and Coordinators. Our technical leaders will provide specialist input while you maintain sales momentum, coordinate the right contributors and ensure every qualified opportunity has a clear next action.
You will have direct access to senior leadership, an established client base and market presence, professional marketing support and the autonomy to build a pipeline that materially influences Redleaf Group’s growth.
The position offers visible influence and uncapped commission potential under Redleaf Group’s Incentive Plan.
What you will do
- Undertake sustained daily outbound prospecting, including cold calls, warm calls, personalised emails, referrals, LinkedIn activity and direct approaches.
- Build and actively work structured prospect lists across infrastructure, development, government, water, renewable energy, conservation and related sectors.
- Turn outbound conversations into qualified opportunities and purposeful client meetings.
- Organise and lead face‑to‑face and video meetings, capability briefings and follow‑up discussions.
- Progress opportunities with urgency and persist professionally through rejection, delay and non‑response.
- Coordinate proposals,
tenders and panel submissions with our Environment and Heritage Managers, Coordinators and relevant technical staff.
- Qualify opportunities based on client need, timing, decision process, value, delivery capacity, margin, risk and likelihood of success.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report weekly on sales activity, conversion, pipeline value and next actions.
What you will be accountable for
The first 90 days will be a structured ramp‑up period while you learn our services, clients and markets. From month four, the role carries clear weekly activity expectations, including:
- At least 40 targeted outbound contacts each week, including a minimum of 25 outbound calls.
- At least 2‑3 newly qualified opportunities each week.
- At least three meaningful client meetings each week and 12 each month.
- Strong conversion of qualified proposals, with a target of at least 60% measured on a rolling three‑month basis.
- An accurate and current pipeline supported by disciplined follow‑up.
- Profitable sales outcomes that meet Redleaf Group’s approved commercial and gross‑margin requirements.
These targets are designed to create opportunity. The more high‑quality activity you generate and convert, the greater your potential commission outcome.
About you
You are a resilient and commercially motivated sales qualified who enjoys the work behind the win. You can create momentum from a cold start, handle rejection without losing pace and remain credible with senior clients and technical professionals.
You will bring:
- Substantial B2B sales experience in a professional, technical or service‑based industry.
- A proven record of high‑volume outbound prospecting, cold calling, meeting generation and achievement of sales or revenue targets.
- Evidence of consistently managing activity targets, conversion ratios and a disciplined sales pipeline.
- Confidence and credibility in face‑to‑face meetings with senior decision‑makers.
- Strong written communication, commercial awareness and experience coordinating proposals or tenders.
- Strong organisation,
reliable follow‑up and the ability to coordinate technical contributors without needing to be the technical expert.
- A current driver’s licence and the capacity to undertake irregular travel, including occasional overnight travel away from home.
Experience in environmental consulting, cultural heritage, engineering, planning, infrastructure, construction, government or another professional consulting sector would be highly regarded. Proven sales capability is more important than technical qualifications.
This role will not suit someone who relies mainly on inbound enquiries, occasional networking or extended relationship‑building without measurable weekly sales activity.
Remuneration and rewards
The remuneration package includes:
- A base salary of $95,000–$105,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.
- Performance‑based commission accruing from commencement, subject to Redleaf Group’s Incentive Plan.
- Indicative on‑target earnings of $125,000–$140,000+ plus superannuation.
- Higher commission rates for eligible work secured at stronger gross margins.
- An accelerator for exceptional annual sales performance.
- The opportunity to play a visible role in Redleaf Group’s growth and help build a high‑performing sales function.
Commission is based on eligible attributable client revenue received and is subject to agreed profitability, attribution and payment requirements.
