About the Role

Ringrose Button is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team, taking on a growing role preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns across a diverse client base of primary producers, small business, and family structures. You’ll manage your own portfolio of BAS clients, review and help train junior accountants, and work closely with our Client Managers and Partners as you build toward taking on more direct client contact and a broader portfolio over time.

The role offers flexibility regarding location and working arrangements.

There will be a requirement to spend approximately 1 week in Longreach every quarter, with travel and accommodation paid for by Ringrose Button.





Key Responsibilities

- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for review
- Manage a portfolio of BAS clients
- Review the work of junior accountants and provide training and support to help them develop
- Support Client Managers and Partners across a broader portfolio of business and primary production clients
- Assist with tax planning, CGT, and FBT compliance under guidance
- Build technical knowledge across multi-entity structures — companies, trusts, and individuals
- Begin taking on direct client contact and relationship-building as experience grows
- Utilise Xero, CAS360, AccountKit, and AI/workflow tools

About You

- CA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion
- 4+ years’ public practice accounting experience
- Solid technical grounding in tax and financial reporting
- Some experience reviewing or supervising junior staff, or a clear aptitude for it
- Comfortable managing your own client portfolio and taking ownership of deadlines
- Keen to develop client-facing skills and grow into a portfolio-management role
- Self-motivated, detail-focused, and keen to learn
