About us

Bounce Therapy Services is a busy muti-disciplinary practice on the Far south coast of NSW. Bounce provides both paediatric and adult services and is proud to support our community with both private and NDIS services available.

Bounce has a comprehensive team, including Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Psychotherapy and Play therapists as well as qualified and experienced allied health assistants.

About the Role

Physiotherapy covers a wide spectrum of health issues. Our company works with children and Adults from different walks of life who have various conditions, injuries and/or developmental concerns.

Our key areas of practice include:

- Developmental movement skills assessment and assistance

- gross motor development and participation within school, sports or community

- treatment of painful joints

- specific conditions such as neurological, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders

- monitoring hip development along with other joints in the body

- facilitation of airway clearance and breathing control for conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, and

- assessment and treatment of dizziness and balance problems

As a physiotherapist for Bounce Therapy Services, your role will involve:

· Assessing and providing holistic rehabilitative interventions for patients;

· Designing treatment programs to address patient problems;

· Treating patients to reduce pain, improve circulation, strengthen muscles, improve cardiothoracic,



cardiovascular and respiratory functions, restore joint mobility, and improve balance and coordination;

· Reviewing, continually monitoring, assessing and evaluating programs and treatments

· Consulting with other Health Professionals as required about patients' problems, needs and progress;

· Recording treatments given and patients’ responses and progress.

Our ideal team member will have:

· A degree in Physiotherapy with current registration with the relevant Board of Australia;

· At least 12 months work experience as a physiotherapist;

· Experience with patients with neurological impairments such as cerebral palsy or disabilities such as spinal cord injury is desirable;

· Attributes including determination, proactivity, curiosity, and empathy

· An authentic commitment to embrace and grow from unfamiliar client circumstances

· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

· Resilience coupled with an authentic desire to be challenged by and learn from complex major medical conditions and the legal environment for our clients

· Strong clinical skills in assessment, report and email writing, goal setting and using evidence to support clinical recommendations

· Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

· Knowledge of current and relevant legislation, regulations and best practices.

· Ability to liaise with many external stakeholders to coordinate medical and allied health recommendations to drive rehabilitation outcomes

· Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
