Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Philadelphia, PA. 13-week local Med-Surg Tele RN role in University City with a medical oncology focus; BSN required.

Join a dynamic and expanding Med/Surg Telemetry (telemetry nurse) team in the heart of Philadelphia. We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with strong medical-surgical and telemetry experience to provide exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. This is an excellent Pennsylvania nursing job for nurses who want to work on a growing unit with a solid focus on medical oncology in University City.

Philadelphia, PA 19104 (University City) – local Med-Surg Tele RN position in a lively, diverse area with great dining and cultural attractions

Contract Length:

13 weeks with potential for extension

Weekly Estimated Pay:

$2,000 - $2,100 (competitive weekly pay for Philadelphia nursing jobs)

Required to work at least one summer holiday and every other weekend

Job Requirements





Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience (Med-Surg Tele RN / telemetry nurse)

BSN required

(no exceptions)

Experience with medical oncology and telemetry care (oncology nursing preferred)

Ability to test out on Telemetry courses / telemetry monitoring competencies

Current and active RN license in Pennsylvania

Strong clinical assessment, acute care, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients, including those with medical oncology needs

Manage a patient load of 3-4:1 (up to 12 beds with potential expansion) as a Med-Surg Tele RN

Perform telemetry monitoring, assess cardiac/medical status, and respond promptly to changes in condition

Document patient progress accurately and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary care team

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in unit expansion efforts and adapt to evolving patient care needs

Work every other weekend and at least one summer holiday as part of your commitment to patient care
