About The Role
MFE is continuing to grow, with a strong pipeline of work across the region creating multiple opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Chinchilla .
Working across projects for Tier 1 clients ,
you’ll be part of an experienced site team delivering mechanical maintenance, installation and project works within a safety-focused environment.
With both permanent and casual opportunities available , along with 12/9 and 5/2 roster options , we’re looking for experienced tradespeople who want quality work, a strong team and ongoing opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform mechanical fitting, maintenance and installation activities across site
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed plant and equipment
- Complete diagnostics, fault finding and equipment overhauls
- Work across pumps, hydraulics, piping, flanged pipework and associated equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work packs
- Complete equipment inspections and testing
- Support shutdown, maintenance and project activities as required
- Work closely with supervisors and the wider site team to deliver works safely and efficiently
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and contribute to a solid safety culture
What You’ll Bring
To be considered, you’ll need demonstrated site-based experience , ideally working across major projects or Tier 1 client environments.
Mandatory requirements:
- Australian-recognised Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Construction White Card
- Current Working at Heights
- Demonstrated site experience
