Lead and Influence Youth Mental Health Services

Take a key leadership role in shaping and delivering evidence-based mental health and wellbeing services for young people. You'll guide clinical decision-making, support innovation, and drive service quality outcomes.

Manage and Develop a High-Performing Team





Lead a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, senior clinicians, peer workers, students, and private practitioners. You'll provide supervision, coaching, career development, and foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

Make a Genuine Community Impact

Work within the nationally recognised headspace model and build strong partnerships with local services, stakeholders, and community organisations to improve outcomes for young people and their families.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of headspace Upper Coomera.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to a multidisciplinary team.
- Promote evidence-based practice and facilitate clinical review and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Support service planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Lead recruitment, performance management, workforce development, and team engagement initiatives.
- Monitor contracted practitioners and ensure compliance with organisational and headspace requirements.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across the youth mental health sector.
- Contribute to innovative programs, research activities, and service development initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline.
- Current registration, membership, or eligibility for registration with AHPRA or the relevant professional body.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based mental health interventions and contemporary clinical practice.
- Experience working with young people experiencing mental health challenges and complex presentations.
- Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- A commitment to person-centred, recovery-oriented, and youth-friendly service delivery.

Essential Requirements

- Current Australian Driver License.
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Ability to meet Lives Lived Well vaccination requirements.
- Willingness to travel as required.
