Key Duties

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
- Measuring, marking, and preparing materials for fabrication
- Cutting, grinding, and preparing steel components
- Performing MIG welding to complete fabrication and repair work
- Fabricating and assembling structural steel, plate, pipe, and metal components
- Operating workshop equipment, including welders, grinders, drills, bandsaws, and cutting equipment
- Inspecting completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Repairing and modifying existing steel components and equipment
- Maintaining workshop tools and equipment
