Sheet Metal Workers | $58/hr + Super | Temp to Perm Looking for a stable workshop role with the opportunity to secure permanent employment?
AWX Executive is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Fabricators to join a leading Australian manufacturing business based in Western Suburbs, Brisbane.

These are full-time casual positions paying $58/hr + super, with the opportunity to transition into permanent employment after 6 months for the right candidates.

You’ll be joining a busy, modern manufacturing facility producing high-quality stainless steel and sheet metal products for commercial and industrial applications.

The Role Working within the fabrication and production team, your duties will include:

- Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
- Working predominantly with stainless steel and light-gauge metals
- MIG and TIG welding where required
- Cutting, folding, forming and finishing sheet metal components
- Reading and interpreting workshop and engineering drawings




- Operating fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools
- Measuring and marking materials accurately
- Completing quality checks on finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
- Working to production schedules and quality standards

About You To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator or similar
- Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience working with stainless steel
- MIG and/or TIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings
- Confident use of fabrication equipment, hand tools and power tools
- Strong measuring and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work effectively within a production environment
- Trade qualification in Sheet Metal/Fabrication highly regarded
- Forklift Licence (LF) advantageous
