A well established alternative property investment group has created a current Finance Manager role to lead the group accounting function and act as 2IC to the CFO.
This is a genuinely broad, hands on leadership role. You'll sit close to the CFO and the wider leadership team, with direct exposure to the group's banking syndicate, institutional investors, and the strategic decisions that shape the business. It's the kind of role that suits someone who wants more than a technical accounting seat: you'll be shaping how the finance function operates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treasury: managing banking relationships, funding activities, and covenant and compliance reporting, acting as a key point of contact for the banking syndicate
- Month end reporting: overseeing reconciliations, reporting packs, and variance analysis, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Unit pricing and valuations:
managing the unit pricing process and coordinating valuations with external valuers and internal stakeholders
- Budgeting and forecasting: owning cost centre reporting, budget cycles, and variance tracking, and presenting this back to senior stakeholders
- External investor reporting: preparing and coordinating reporting to institutional investors, ensuring the group meets its funding and disclosure obligations
- Team leadership: reviewing the work of a small finance team, providing day to day guidance and quality control, and developing their capability as the team grows
- Process improvement: identifying and implementing improvements across finance systems and processes
Key Requirements:
- CA or CPA qualified Senior Accountant with leadership experience
- Extensive exposure to the property funds sector, ideally within a REIT or property fund
- Big 4 audit background will be well regarded
