This is a hands-on role combining accounting support, client administration and coordination of work with our local and offshore teams. The successful candidate will help ensure client requests and accounting work are followed through to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and tax returns
- Assist with bookkeeping, reconciliations, BAS and payroll
- Follow up clients for outstanding information and approvals
- Coordinate client work with our offshore accounting team and follow up outstanding tasks
- Review completed work and elevate queries where required
- Liaise with clients, the ATO, ASIC, banks and other relevant parties
- Maintain client records and assist with general office administration
- Monitor outstanding work and assist in meeting client deadlines
About you
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping or administration
- Experience with Xero, Handisoft & Tax,
MYOB and/or QuickBooks Online
- Understanding of Australian accounting and taxation requirements is preferred
- Good Microsoft Excel and Office skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up outstanding matters
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Experience working with offshore teams is desirable but not essential
- Must have the right to work in Australia
