DME Engineering Services Australia is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to coordinate mechanical maintenance activities for one of our industrial clients in the Tumut region.

You will lead a small site-based crew carrying out planned maintenance, breakdown and shutdown work, supported day to day by a Leading hand, Area Engineer and DME’s wider site team.

About You





To be successful in this position, you will have:

- A recognised Mechanical Fitting, Fabrication or relevant mechanical trade qualification
- Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience in industrial maintenance
- Experience within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment will be highly regarded
- Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills
- A sound understanding of permits, isolations, JSEAs and safe systems of work
- The ability to provide clear direction to tradespeople with varying levels of experience
- Solid communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients
- A practical and calm approach when priorities change
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity
- This position may also suit an experienced leading hand who is ready to move into a formal Site Supervisor role.

This position offers:

- Superannuation paid in addition
- Overtime and shutdown opportunities
- $2,500 sign-on bonus — *$1,000 upfront and the balance following successful completion of probation
- Paid 30-minute lunch break each day
