The UGL Transmission & Utilities team designs, constructs and maintains critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors. Ranging from wastewater treatment plants to power stations. We design and construct the following assets; power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water and wastewater treatment plans and water pipelines.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our project delivery team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for coordinating construction activities, managing site teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving project outcomes while fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining productive relationships across all stakeholders
This role is on a 2:1 roster, Drive-In-Drive-Out from Perth
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and coordinating daily construction activities across the project.
- Managing site personnel, subcontractors, plant, equipment, and resources.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, risk management, and compliance.
- Monitoring project progress and implementing solutions to maintain productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Supporting workforce planning, training, onboarding, and development activities.
- Ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
- Managing workforce performance, attendance,
and timesheet accuracy.
- Building high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and leadership.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a Superintendent or similar construction leadership role.
- Electrical background with experience working on substations / HV environment
- Strong background delivering utilities, infrastructure, energy, or construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple work fronts and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and project delivery requirements.
- Experience leading direct and indirect site teams.
