About the Early Learners Unit
Early Learners supports NSW public schools on quality early years programs and fulfils the responsibility on behalf of the department as the approved provider for NSW public preschools. We work in partnership with schools to offer safe, positive and engaging learning environments so all children can make a strong start in life and transition successfully to school. We support public preschools to understand and meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF), including compliance with the National Law and Regulations, and meeting or exceeding the National Quality Standard (NQS). We are committed to protecting and promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of all children.
About the position
The role provides high level strategic advice and guidance on quality early learning programs and initiatives in NSW Public Schools and supports the implementation of state and national priorities for early learning. This role has child safety responsibilities, including mandatory reporting, and requires a strong commitment to maintaining a child-safe setting.
This is an opportunity to join the Early Learning team and support public education. The role requires expertise in transition to primary school strategies early years curriculum and pedagogy, and a focus on improving outcomes for our youngest learners.
