Job Description

We are seeking a people-focused Core Yard Supervisor to lead the safe and efficient operation of our core yard facility at Ernest Henry Operations. Reporting to the Geology Superintendent, you will oversee core sample management, contractor coordination, and day‑to‑day core yard activities while driving a strong safety culture and operational excellence. Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading and supporting a team of Field Technicians and contract geology loggers
- Overseeing the receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of core samples
- Managing core yard workflows, systems, and operational processes
- Coordinating contractors and stakeholders to support drilling and geology programs
- Maintaining equipment, manage inventory, and support budget requirements
- Monitoring data integrity, reporting, and operational performance.

About the Candidate

You are a proactive leader with strong organisational skills and a passion for safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Previous experience in a similar role ideally in a supervisory or team leadership position within mining or exploration
- Experience leading teams, managing contractors, and driving performance outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with operational systems, workflows, and reporting processes
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
