An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional with a Mechanical Trade background (such as Diesel Fitter, and Mechanical Fitters etc.) to become a part of Torque Enterprises' thoughtfully chosen and proficient team in Mackay, Queensland on a full-time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground loaders and associated mining equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct overhauls, component rebuilds, and part replacements on diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure all equipment is serviced and repaired according to our OEM standards and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members and provide technical advice when required.
About you
- Drivers Licence.
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or light vehicle Mechanic
- Robust knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical repairs.
- High Risk Work Licence in Forklift, Overhead, or Gantry Crane. (highly regarded) not essential
- ExDES Maintenance Skill Set. (highly regarded) not essential
- Hydraulics 1 – 4. (highly regarded) not essential
- Efficient work capability independently and within a team.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and adherence to Company policies and procedures.
