Working closely with accountants and clients, you will be responsible for supporting clients' success through bookkeeping and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

- Reconciling GST accounts and other balance sheet accounts
- Ensure Payroll, STP and Super Guarantee meet compliance requirements
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
- Maintaining accurate client records using Xero
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
- Liaising directly with clients to provide bookkeeping and guidance
- Identifying and resolving bookkeeping discrepancies and compliance issues

About you

- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accounting firm or public practice environment
- Robust working knowledge of Xero
- Experience with payroll, GST and BAS preparation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
