At G+D, we’re seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our advanced manufacturing equipment. What You’ll Do

Maintenance & Repairs

Perform scheduled preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on new and legacy production machinery.

Fault Diagnosis

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic, faults to minimise downtime.

Install & Commission

Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of production equipment.

Routine Inspections

Conduct inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Collaboration

Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and drive process improvements.

Compliance

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ISO, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and company safety standards.

Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement opportunities for equipment upgrades, process improvements, and cost savings.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills





Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.

3–5 years’ experience in maintenance/service of automated production machinery (FMCG, packaging, plastics, or high-speed manufacturing preferred).

Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) -controlled equipment, pneumatics, and modern automated systems.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and service documentation.

Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Professional Attributes

Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Valid driver’s licence; forklift licence highly regarded.
