About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team in Melbourne. This role is responsible for the end to end delivery of Electronic Security projects, encompassing design coordination and estimation through to installation management, commissioning, and final handover. You will manage multiple projects concurrently, working closely with engineering, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification. This position suits a technically capable, hands on Project Manager with a strong understanding of security systems and a pragmatic, delivery focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through the full lifecycle: planning, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, close-out and handover.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently,
ensuring delivery against scope, programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate internal teams, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, procurement plans, delivery methodologies and risk registers.
- Monitor and report on project progress, costs, risks, quality and performance.
- Manage project variations, scope changes and associated commercial impacts.
- Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning and client handover activities.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, controlled and completed in line with company and client requirements.
- Coordinate the design, review and delivery of electronic security solutions, including CCTV platforms, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, intercom and communication systems, and integrated security and system integration solutions.
- Review drawings, schematics, device layouts, equipment schedules and as-built documentation.
About You
- A minimum of five years' experience as a Project Manager within electronic security, systems integration or a related technology setting.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex or multi-site security projects on time and within budget.
- Proven experience managing projects valued between $500,000 and $1 million or above.
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple security platforms, ideally including Gallagher, Genetec, Milestone, Tecom, Inner Range and LenelS2.
- Experience coordinating designs, estimates, take-offs and bills of materials.
- Well-developed communication, planning, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively across office, site and client environments.
- A formal qualification in Project Management, such as a Diploma or Degree.
- A current driver's licence, White Card and the ability to obtain and maintain the relevant Security Licence.
- Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
