The role

You are a senior maintenance and reliability leader with a strong technical background, a disciplined approach to maintenance governance and a proven track record of leading high‑performing teams in FMCG manufacturing. You are passionate about asset reliability, safety, food quality, operational discipline and building sustainable systems that improve performance beyond day‑to‑day maintenance execution.

As Maintenance & Reliability Manager for the Minto Ice Cream Factory, you will lead the site maintenance function and play a pivotal role in improving equipment availability, reducing unplanned downtime, strengthening spare parts and stock control, and embedding robust SAP S/4HANA enabled work management. You will lead maintenance transformation, support automation and capital projects, ensure work order closure with effective RCA discipline, and lead the PM Pillar for the site ICMS system. You will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Digital and Procurement teams to deliver reliable, safe and cost‑effective assets that support long‑term site performance.

What you’ll be responsible for

Lead SAP S/4HANA maintenance implementation and adoption for the site, including SAP PM ways of working, master data quality, equipment hierarchy, task lists, BOMs, maintenance plans and work order discipline.

Ensure work orders are planned, executed, technically completed and closed on time, with effective RCA and corrective actions for repeat failures,

Own preventative, predictive and reliability‑centred maintenance programs to maximise equipment availability, improve OEE, reduce unplanned downtime and extend asset life.

Lead the PM Pillar for the site ICMS system, driving pillar routines, loss analysis, standards, capability building and continuous improvement across maintenance and operations teams.

Strengthen spare parts management, MRO inventory control and stock governance, including critical spares strategy, min/max levels, cycle counts, obsolescence control, supplier performance and cost optimisation.

Drive reliability improvement projects, automation upgrades, equipment modifications and CAPEX initiatives from a maintenance and engineering perspective, ensuring projects are delivered safely, sustainably and with clear handover standards.

Lead, coach and develop maintenance leaders, technicians, planners and contractors to build a proactive, accountable and high‑performing maintenance culture.

Use maintenance and reliability data, including MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, backlog, downtime and RCA trends, to identify priorities and deliver measurable performance improvement.

Manage maintenance budgets, contractor performance, spare parts spend and external service providers with strong cost control and value delivery.

Ensure compliance with Australian standards, SHE, GMP, food safety, quality requirements and TMICC global policies.

Understand and effectively manage Enterprise Agreement requirements, union matters and employee relations impacts within the maintenance function, partnering with HR and site leadership to ensure compliant, fair and constructive workforce engagement.
