Job Description
The Role
We are looking for a Building Services Engineer to manage and deliver mission-critical infrastructure projects across the network. Focusing on HVAC, fire services, building fabric, ACM removal, and diesel fuel standby generation, you will provide vital engineering support to operations and field teams. Your goal is to keep broadcast facilities running flawlessly while minimizing any disruption to client services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Upgrades: Design, specify, and review infrastructure systems; manage HVAC retrofits and capacity planning.
- Commissioning & Compliance: Lead in office commissioning and ensure absolute statutory compliance with Australian Standards.
- Technical Support: Act as a subject matter expert, advising project managers and field teams on fault response, issue resolution, and strategic maintenance.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams (Power & Buildings, RF/Structural Engineers, Service Delivery) as well as external clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver timely, cost-effective solutions.
What You Bring
- Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Electrical Engineering (eligible for IEAust) + valid driver’s license.
- Experience: 5+ years in mission-critical environments (e.g., broadcast, data centres, utilities).
- Technical Expertise: Advanced commercial HVAC skills, hands-on commissioning experience, and strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards (AS 1668 series, AS 1670, AS 2118, AS 2293).
- Software: Working knowledge of AutoCAD; IES or CAMEL modelling is highly regarded.
