Our client is a highly regarded engineering design consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering landmark projects across the structural, façade, civil, environmental and water sectors. They are seeking a capable Temporary Works Engineer looking to further their career in a technically focused and project-driven environment.
Position
- Deliver temporary works designs to support major construction projects, including formwork, falsework, propping, crane bases, excavation support and access systems.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team contributing to safe, buildable and efficient construction solutions.
- Ensure all temporary works designs meet relevant Australian Standards.
- Liaise closely with builders, site teams, architects and other engineers to resolve construction-stage challenges.
- Coordinate with drafters to enable the preparation of accurate temporary works documentation.
- Produce designs, calculations, specifications, reports and fee proposals under the supervision of senior engineers.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will be / possess:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of local experience in structural or temporary works engineering.
- Proven experience designing temporary works systems for construction projects.
- Solid background in steel and concrete structures (temporary and/or permanent works).
- Obtained or working towards CPEng status (preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis and construction-stage engineering solutions.
- Proficiency with engineering software such as ETABS, SpaceGass, Strand7, Microstran and Inducta.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with site teams, consultants and clients.
