Customer Service Officer - Public Training
Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies,businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
About the role
This is a full time, ongoing position based at our Port Melbourne office, with hybrid working arrangements. Known internally as the Sales and Scheduling Officer for the Public Training and Pool Safety team, you will play a vital role in administering both accredited and non-accredited water safety and first aid training courses. Additionally, you will:
- Provide frontline customer service by responding to phone calls, emails and enquiries from training candidates, clients, trainers and stakeholders
- Assist candidates and clients with bookings, course information, confirmations and basic troubleshooting of online learning and training systems
- Support the Scheduling Coordinator with course promotions and participant engagement through phone, email and other communication channels
- Assist with the scheduling and administration of training courses, trainers, venues and associated resources to support statewide training delivery
- Maintain accurate records, complete administrative tasks and contribute to continuous improvement of systems, procedures and documentation
About you
You are a customer-focused and highly organised professional who enjoys helping people and delivering exceptional service.
With strong communication skills and a positive, solutions-focused approach, you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You will bring:
- Previous experience in customer service, administration, scheduling or a similar support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Confidence working with databases, online booking systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem solving
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences and supporting training outcomes
- A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check is required (or willingness to obtain)
