Quirky Support Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Bundaberg, Queensland. As a casual role, this position offers the flexibility to create your own schedule and work hours that suit your lifestyle. You will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate actively in their local community.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalised care and support to clients with a range of disabilities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and community access

Facilitating and encouraging client participation in social, recreational, and educational activities to promote independence and wellbeing

Delivering high-quality service with empathy, patience, and respect for client's rights, choices, and dignity

Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with industry standards and organisational policies

Collaborating with the client, their family, and the wider support team to develop and implement individualised support plans

Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the disability support field

What we're looking for

Experience with high complex behaviors - predominantly ASD Level 3 nonverbal.

Must hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification.

Candidates must be available to work night shifts as part of this role.





Experience providing direct care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and psychosocial.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and the support team.

A strong commitment to upholding the rights, choices, and dignity of people with disabilities.

Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each client

A valid driver's licence

Previous MAYBO certification is considered an asset.
