About the opportunity
IFYS has a new opportunity for an Injury Management Officer to join our People & Culture Team.This role is open to applicants at all stages of their career. Candidates with limited experience who have a genuine interest in supporting the wellbeing of others are encouraged to apply, with on-the-job training provided.
Reporting to the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating the management of work related and non-work-related injuries, and will assist the HS&E; Manager to implement initiatives to increase the safety of employees.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Manage workplace injuries, including WorkCover claims, liaising with injured workers and their managers, and return-to-work planning
- Coordinate and monitor injured worker rehabilitation, communicate with key stakeholders as required via phone, MS Teams, text and email
- Liaise with Workcover Queensland to ensure claims are being managed and to track recovery
- Provide managers with guidance on managing non-work-related injuries and assist with employee correspondence
- Manage the Health Safety & Environment email inbox
- Support the development and maintenance of health and safety initiatives
- Manage the working from home agreement process, ensuring all documentation remains up to date, compliant, and accurately maintained
- Coordinate and administer HS&E; Committee meetings
Requirements for the role:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field e.g. Psychology, Allied Health, Human Resources or Occupational Health & Safety (highly desirable)
- Ability to read and understand legislation and safety information and contextualising to IFYS
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- A high level of confidentiality, integrity and awareness of sensitive information
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:
- Valid Queensland Driver’s License
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems)
- Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employer
