The Program Coordinator Established Invasives in the Plants Chemicals and Invasives Branch (PCI) within Agriculture Victoria has a key role in leading the design and delivery of Agriculture Victoria’s established invasive species management program to provide improved operational practice.

You will lead the ongoing design and development of staff capability to deliver effective community programs that support the efficient administration of the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994 and other related legislation. This will involve leading the planning, development and delivery of invasive species compliance programs, community grants programs, and stakeholder management forums, including regular monitoring, evaluation and reporting of invasive species program performance.

The position will work collaboratively with other PCI senior managers to influence stakeholders (internal and external) and develop strong working relationships with industry, key stakeholders and other staff across the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). You will also provide authoritative advice to senior management regarding program delivery issues associated with components of the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994 and other biosecurity legislation.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

- Tertiary degree in Agricultural Science, Science or an equivalent science qualification. Candidates must have these qualifications to be considered eligible and verification is required prior to appointment.

This is a fixed term position available until 17 April 2027.



The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
