- Academic Level B - $116,527 p.a. (pro-rata) or Academic Level C - $142,267 p.a. (pro-rata) plus up to 17% superannuation

About the role
As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of units within speech pathology at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the Institutes research course and administrative functions.
At Level B you will:
- undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students;
- develop, teach, moderate and coordinate units;
- undertake research activities and
At Level C you will:
- undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
- undertake research activities;
- supervise students undertaking project units,
honours programs and research higher degrees;
- participate in team projects and various committees as required; and
- assume leadership roles within the Institute of Health and Wellbeing including building partnerships with external interest holders.
About you
You will work as part of the institutes team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.
You will possess:
Level B:
- commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
- demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record in speech pathology;
- previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of units; and
- evidence of research expertise and a demonstrated capacity and preparedness to achieve and active research profile.
Level C:
- A PhD in a relevant area
- commitment to and enthusiasm for research
- commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching;
- capacity to supervise honours and research postgraduate students;
- substantial university academic administration including building partnerships with the health industry; and
- commitment and ability to develop and implement a student-centred approach.
