Band of Brothers 007 Pty Ltd, trading as Salt and Green Bistro, is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join its professional team. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals, following recipes and food preparation procedures, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.

The Cook will assist with ingredient preparation, stock management, kitchen organisation, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen are required. Task & responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to menu standards. Inspect and assess food items to ensure quality and freshness. Operate and regulate ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment at appropriate temperatures. Enhance and refine flavours throughout the cooking process to ensure consistent and high quality taste profiles. Portion food accurately, plate dishes, and add sauces, gravies,



and garnishes as required. Store food safely in temperature-controlled environments to maintain quality and comply with food safety standards. Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements when requested. Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements when needed. Support and train junior kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

Qualification & experience

Minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent or equivalent work experience. Minimum 1 year of experience in related field. In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations. Ability to work in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
