The Rowers PTY LTD The Mildura Boat House Eatery & Bar is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join its waterfront kitchen team at 143 Hugh King Drive, Mildura VIC. You will help lead daily service, mentor junior staff, and craft modern Australian dishes featuring seasonal Sunraysia produce.

Task & responsibilities Work actively on the line to prepare, cook, and plate high-quality dishes during busy shifts. Show junior staff correct cooking techniques, give advice during service, and help onboard new kitchen team members.

Keep the kitchen spotless by teaching and enforcing strict Victorian food safety and hygiene rules. Work closely with front-of-house staff and venue managers to handle dietary requests and keep service running smoothly. Monitor the standard, flavor, and presentation of all food from the prep stage right up to the final plate.

Manage inventory, minimise kitchen waste, and use proper food freezing and preservation methods. Partner with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to design seasonal menus,



order supplies, and keep food and labor costs on budget.

Qualification & experience Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role Formal culinary training and relevant certification Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
