We Care Disability Services is growing! We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and skilled Disability Support Workers to support NDIS participants in their homes and communities.
Disability Support Worker
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, and manual handling.
- Provide complex care, including PEG feeding, bowel care, and medication administration.
- Support participants with community access and social activities.
- Encourage independence, inclusion, and skill development.
- Follow individual support and behaviour support plans.
- Monitor participants’ well-being and report any concerns.
- Maintain accurate client notes and shift records.
- Follow workplace safety and infection control procedures.
About You
- Caring, patient, reliable, and professional.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable providing personal and complex care, or willing to learn.
- Able to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Committed to respectful, person-centred support.
Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR.
- NDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Control certificates.
- Australian driver’s licence.
- Registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Full Australian working rights.
Experience in disability, aged care, nursing, or community care is highly regarded. Training is available for suitable candidates.
Availability
Applicants must be versatile and available for morning, daytime, and evening shifts. Shifts may range from approximately two to eight hours.
