Nexus Cap Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fellowed Paediatrician to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Brisbane, QLD. This full-time or contract position (subject to negotiations) offers the opportunity to make a profound and lasting impact on the health and wellbeing of children and families within our community. As our paediatrician, you will combine clinical expertise with compassionate, family‑centred practice, working collaboratively with our Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Behaviour Support teams to ensure each child receives cohesive, high‑quality care. You will also contribute to diagnostic clarity, medical oversight, and multidisciplinary planning, helping families navigate developmental, behavioural and health‑related concerns with confidence and support. Key responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive medical assessments and diagnoses of paediatric patients across a range of acute and chronic conditions

Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to each child's specific medical needs

Performing clinical examinations and ordering appropriate diagnostic investigations and tests

Managing acute and chronic paediatric conditions, including respiratory, infectious, developmental and nutritional disorders





Providing preventative care and health promotion advice to patients and families

Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care

Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements

Providing ongoing support and education to patients, families and caregivers regarding treatment plans and health management

Liaising with primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure continuity of care

Staying current with advances in paediatric medicine and best practice guidelines

What we’re looking for

A valid registration with the Australian Medical Board and current practising certificate as a Paediatrician

Completion of recognised paediatric medical training and qualifications (such as Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatrics)

Demonstrated clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of paediatric conditions

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and families

Excellent diagnostic and clinical reasoning abilities

Commitment to evidence-based practice and maintaining current knowledge of paediatric medicine

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients efficiently





Experience in both inpatient and outpatient paediatric settings is highly valued
