The opportunity We have partnered with a global technology leader to hire Development Engineers into a team responsible for building, automating and operating large-scale infrastructure behind mission-critical production platforms. This is hands-on engineering at serious scale, in a secure and highly reliable environment, with the kind of technical challenges that come from running systems where uptime and integrity genuinely matter.
These are permanent roles with an organisation known worldwide for engineering excellence, offering the stability of a permanent seat alongside the depth of problem you would expect at the top of the industry.

What you will be doing

- Designing, building and automating the infrastructure and tooling that underpins large-scale production systems
- Writing and maintaining software and automation in a modern language such as Python, Go or Java
- Operating, tuning and troubleshooting Linux systems at scale, with a focus on reliability and performance
- Building and improving CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code to make deployment fast, consistent and safe
- Diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across compute, storage and networking




- Partnering with engineering teams to improve observability, reduce toil and raise the reliability bar
- Contributing to a strong culture of operational excellence, security and continuous improvement

What you will bring

- Solid hands-on Linux systems experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS or similar)
- Experience automating and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Development experience in a modern language such as Python, Go or Java
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent)
- A genuine problem-solving mindset and a track record of improving reliability and reducing manual effort
- The ability to work across the full stack of infrastructure, from operating systems to networking

Nice to have

- A career that spans more than one of network engineering, systems administration, DevOps, site reliability or software engineering
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry or similar)
- Cloud infrastructure experience with any major provider
- Experience operating in secure, regulated or high-availability environments
