Deputy Operations Control Centre Manager

Position Overview
Our 24/7, 365-day Operations Control Centre is the heartbeat of our operation. Reporting to the Manager, Operations Control Centre, the Deputy Operations Manager supports and deputises for the OCC Manager, leads the development and continuous improvement of operational systems and processes, and remains actively involved in the day-to-day functions of the OCC.
Principal Accountabilities:
Provide support in overseeing Skytraders' daily operations, scheduling, and crew resourcing.
Provide on-shift procedural advice and support to the OCC team.
Provide operational systems support to the business and OCC team.
Maintain competency in all aspects of the Operations Coordinator role when required.
Act as a delegate for the OCC Manager as required.
Ensure the timely delivery of schedules and crew resource plans that meet client needs, cost efficiency, operational robustness, and legislative compliance.
Coordinate with the Chief Pilot on Flight Operations regulatory matters.
Schedule aircraft and crew in accordance with CASA regulations and industrial agreements. Including liaising with the rostering department and/or Manager of Training and Checking regarding training requirements in conjunction with the flight schedule.
Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and third-party suppliers.
Identify process and procedure gaps, working with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers to develop solutions.
Assist in the development and maintenance of departmental manuals and standard operating procedures.
Maintain competency and act as a super user for Leon (Crew and Aircraft Management System) and other operational systems. Utilise operational systems to produce and develop reports as required.
Assist the Operations Department in the delivery of process and technology improvements.
For operational systems act as a point of contact between users, IT and the software company, gathering feedback, reporting issues, and communicating updates.
Participate in operational system implementation, testing, and training to ensure a smooth transition for users.
Identify areas of improvement within operational systems and contribute to ongoing development.
Maintain and share knowledge about operational systems, ensuring users have access to the information they need.
Assist with or oversee system upgrades and modifications, ensuring they are implemented effectively.
Actively participate in and contribute to the Skytraders Safety Management System, by promoting safety awareness and encourage open reporting and feedback; and assisting in AirMaestro safety report investigations as required by the OCCM.
Perform any other reasonable tasks required to ensure the company's safe, productive, and effective operation.
