This organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Development Manager / Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex land and urban development projects.

Contract Duration:12 Months + 1x 12 Months Extension

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee development projects from sales through settlement and final delivery.
- Ensure projects meet contractual, government and organisational requirements.
- Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, quality and key deliverables.
- Lead complex greenfield and urban development projects through planning, approvals, procurement,
construction and handover.
- Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and delivery outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with developers, contractors, buyers, government agencies and key stakeholders.
- Provide clear, influential advice and reporting to senior executives and government stakeholders.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across employees, consultants and contractors.
- Manage procurement, contracts, governance, compliance and project risks.
- Represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings, forums and community engagement activities.
- Provide leadership and support to team members, including capability and performance development.
- Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Provide strategic and operational advice to support project and organisational decision-making.
- Maintain a robust focus on commercial, community and government objectives.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years' relevant experience in project management, development, engineering, architecture or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex land,
urban development or major infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
- Robust project and program management skills across planning, approvals, procurement, construction and handover.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, risks, milestones and performance requirements.
- Strong commercial, contract management, procurement and governance capability.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in complex environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance and governance frameworks.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
- Collaborative leadership style, strong integrity and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates will have recognised qualifications and/or substantial experience in a relevant discipline, including:
- Engineering: Relevant four-year degree or higher qualification recognised by the appropriate Australian professional body, plus 10+ years' relevant experience.
- Architecture: Relevant three-year degree or higher qualification recognised by an Australian state or territory architecture authority, plus 10+ years' relevant experience.
- Project Management: Relevant Diploma, professional certification or equivalent qualification with substantial project management experience, or at least 10 years' relevant project management experience.
