Business Development Manager – Construction Fasteners

If you know the construction fastener market and already have robust relationships across Sydney’s builders, contractors and construction supply network, this is a genuine opportunity to step into a role where your existing industry knowledge will be highly valued.

The business supplies a broad range of construction fasteners and related products used across commercial construction, residential building, roofing, cladding and general construction. With continued growth across NSW, they are looking for a commercially minded BDM to take ownership of the Sydney market.

The Role

This is a true business development position focused on growing revenue across an established Sydney territory.

Developing new business across Sydney

Managing and growing existing customer relationships

Calling on builders, contractors, roofers, fabricators, merchants and distributors

Identifying new projects and opportunities within the construction market

Providing product advice and solutions around fasteners and associated products

Preparing quotes, following up opportunities and converting new accounts

Working closely with internal sales and operations teams to deliver for customers

Taking ownership of your territory and building a strong pipeline of new business

The Person





You will ideally come from a sales background within construction fasteners, fixings, building products, roofing, cladding or a closely related construction product market.

Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys getting out into the market, building relationships and winning new business.

Proven B2B sales or BDM experience

Existing relationships within the Sydney construction market

Knowledge of construction fasteners, fixings or related products

Strong commercial and negotiation skills

A genuine hunter mentality and confidence prospecting for new business

The ability to manage a territory independently

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

On Offer

Base of $90k - $120k + Super

Fully Maintained Company Vehicle or Car Allowance

Very Strong Commission Structure
