Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

- Civil & Structural Engineering Design: Calculate loads for engineering projects, analyse structures, and perform design work in full compliance with relevant Australian Standards.
- Advanced Analysis & Certifications: Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA), standard verifications, structural evaluations, and official engineering certifications.
- Design & Drawing Verification: Conduct thorough design checks, drawing checks,



and quality reviews for civil and structural projects.
- 2D & 3D Drafting & Modelling: Generate transparent 2D drawings that communicate design intent, manage 2D templates, produce accurate 3D CAD models following Trang methodology, and manage revision controls.
- Project & Risk Management: Identify structural and project risks, manage risks through engineered calculations and clear client communications, and ensure engineering documentation is complete and fit-for-purpose.
- Quoting & Estimation: Estimate job hours to assist with accurate customer quotes and reliably deliver engineering projects within estimated hours.
- Client Relationship Management & Service: Provide high-level customer service, engage directly with clients, and manage ongoing client relationships.
- Mentorship: Collaborate with and mentor junior/intermediate engineers within the team.

Skill & Experience

Education:

- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering (recognised under the Washington Accord for ANZSCO 233211 alignment).
- Professional registration or eligibility for registration on the National Engineering Register (NER), CPEng, or RPEQ is highly regarded.

Experience & Technical Skills:

- 5+ years of skilled experience in civil and structural engineering design, preferably within industrial, mining, structural, or equipment design environments.




- Proven capability in calculating structural loads and analysing structures against Australian Standards (e.g., AS1170, AS4100, AS3600).
- Strong background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and standard verifications.
- Hands-on proficiency in 2D Drafting and 3D CAD modelling software, including revision management.
- Demonstrated ability to scope engineering projects, estimate design hours, and deliver work within quoted targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client management and clear engineering documentation.
