The Role
We are seeking applications from Senior Occupational Therapists withdemonstratedexperience performing Team Leader duties or similar. As an IOH Team Leader, you will bedirectly responsiblefor supporting a team of Occupational Therapists. Applicants must have experience working within the NDIS scheme and must have a minimum of3years of post-graduate experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Occupational Therapy Manager, Clinical Lead, who was the winner of the 2023 Australian Allied Health Award for the category of ‘Allied Health Leadership and Management Excellence Award’.
Day to Day
- Prescription major home modifications
- Complex equipment and assistive technology prescription
- Functional Capacity and Activity of Daily Living Assessments
- Environmental and housing needs assessments
- Self-care, pressure care, falls, and Mobility Assessments
- Therapeutic intervention to increase community participation and completion of activities of daily living
The ideal candidate will have a background in delivering community and clinic-based services across NDIS and aged care settings, a strong work ethic, and excellent organisational and communication skills. The Successful Applicant Must Have
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum of3years ofpost-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Demonstratedexperience managing,supervisingor mentoringothers
- Demonstrated sound understanding of safeguarding frameworks, with a commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of clients
- Ability to apply a ‘just culture’ approach,
supporting accountability, learning, and psychologically safe practice environments
- Current vehicle and driver's licence
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, and Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain them
- Meet vaccination requirements for health workers under Public Health Order
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport andmaintainstrong relationships
- Strong understanding of NDIS and clinical OT delivery
Supervision:
IOH has a structured formal supervision program, with opportunities for dual assessments to develop skills in new areas of practice, a formal quality assurance process, and bi-monthly peer supervision to learn from your colleagues. You will be supported in your position by having direct accessto our Occupational Therapy Department Managers in Compliance and Operations and Clinical Leadership, who are case load free.
Administration and Therapeutic Support:
An experienced administration team to assistyou with booking appointments, sending reports, invoicing and preparing for assessments/therapeutic intervention.

Laptop, smartphone, modern I.T. platforms, with extensive clinical resources and tools. We will also provide you with assistance in configuring an efficient home office.
